We ask that all vendors and volunteers perform a symptom assessment before they come to the weekly Saturday Farmers’ Market (including taking temperatures with a thermometer, monitoring for fever and watching for coughing or trouble breathing). Please do not attend the market if you are ill, showing signs of respiratory illness, have a fever, cough or trouble breathing. If you begin to show symptoms while at the Farmers’ Market, immediately isolate and seek medical care. Contact the local health district about suspected cases or exposures and do not return until you are free of symptoms for at least 72 hours without fever-reducing medication and improvement in respiratory symptoms and at least 7 days have passed since the symptoms first appeared. Contact Delaware General Health District immediately if a positive COVID-19 case is found to be at the market. Face coverings will be required for all vendors, volunteers and organizers. High-contact surfaces must be disinfected hourly, clean merchandise before stocking if possible. To sanitize your vendor tables, 1/3 cup of bleach to one gallon of water can be used in a spray bottle, labeled bleach water (that ratio will be enough for COVID-19 sanitizing). Use paper towels & discard. Spray bottle containers must be clean & empty, holding no other chemicals first. Maintain proper personal hygiene at all times; hand washing & sanitizing regularly, no cross contamination and social distancing (maintaining 6’ distance between other vendors, vendor stations and shoppers). Please wear gloves when handling products and putting a purchase together for a customer. Designate one person to handle food and another to handle payment transactions when possible. If that is not possible, you must switch gloves to complete the transaction. Once gloves are soiled and removed, they need to be discarded, do not reuse. All ready-to-eat foods must be pre-packaged before arriving at the market. Please do not allow shoppers to touch your product, have them point to what they want and put the purchase together for them. Also, all sampling must be discontinued.
